The benefits of air conditioning & air heating

Some of the benefits of air conditioning & air heating units include:

Warm up or cool down

There's no need to open and close your windows or fiddle with your radiators when you can use smart controls and remote settings to regulate the temperature. Air conditioning and heating can maintain a pleasant environment, whether it's summer or winter, without you having to do anything.

Enjoy cleaner air at your home or business

Many think that clean and filtered air is only for those with allergies. But taking care of your environment and the air inside your home is essential. After all, it isn't just yours - it's a shared space! Air conditioning ventilates and circulates throughout your home, drawing fresh air from the outdoors and filtering the air indoors.

Sleep better and feel relaxed

We sleep best at cooler temperatures. The warmer the room, the longer it takes to drift off (and the more likely it is that you’ll wake up again.)

By controlling your sleeping and waking room temperature, you can get a good night’s rest and a great start for tomorrow.

Control your allergies

If you suffer from asthma, hayfever, or any other allergies triggered by airborne particles – air con could make all the difference to your daily life. With built-in air filters, our air conditioning units remove almost all the dust, smoke, pollen and other allergens from the air, so you can breathe easier.

How does indoor air conditioning & air heating work?

Like your home kitchen fridge, the air outside is usually much hotter than the inside. So when you use an air conditioner, it works by sucking in this warmer air and cooling it down by passing it over a metal coil that's kept very cold with a refrigerant.

If your air conditioner has a built-in heating element, it can warm the air instead of cooling it down.

How does outdoor air conditioning work?

The outdoor unit works like the back of your fridge – it lets the heat out but releases the air outside of your home.

Once the warm air has been drawn into the indoor unit, it passes through your wall and into the outdoor unit, where it is expelled outside.

Your air conditioner may also have a dehumidifier, filter, fan or air purifier built into it – to maintain a high air quality and even air flow throughout your home.

  • Does air conditioning work both ways: heating and cooling?

Yes, most systems now contain heat pumps to warm up your home – as well as the traditional cooling function which brings in fresh air from the outdoors.

  • Is air conditioning expensive to run?

Not anymore. The running costs of an air conditioning unit are extremely reasonable. Modern systems are much more efficient than they used to be, plus smart controls work hard to keep your home at a level temperature without having to constantly switch on and off.

  • Are air conditioning units energy efficient?

Air conditioning is widely considered an energy-efficient way to cool or heat the home. Utilising the natural temperature differences between your home and the outdoors, the temperature exchange often takes very little power. Many also come with an Eco mode.

  • Do they make lots of noise?

We know that a good night’s sleep is the reason that many homeowners install air conditioning, so we have also made sure that our systems are as quiet as possible too.
